Parade Of Sequels

Soon, Spiderman will conquer the theaters nationwide, with high hopes of breaking the records set by the first 2 spidey movies. Sequels are a gamble if it would surpass the achievements made by the first..or would it be just a stain on the original. Here are some of the future flicks which are sequels..
THE PUNISHER II- War Zone (2007)

The story follows Frank Castle, a man involved in the criminal underworld who has managed to conceal his violent beginnings and become a paragon of society until a darker, vengeful side emerges after his wife and son are brutally slain. This is the sequel to 2004's The Punisher.




THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM (2007)

Now, in the new chapter of this espionage series, Bourne will hunt down his past in order to find a future. He must travel from Moscow, Paris, Madrid and London to Tangier and New York City as he continues his quest to find the real Jason Bourne--all the while trying to outmaneuver the scores of cops, federal officers and Interpol agents with him in their crosshairs.



OCEAN's THIRTEEN (2007)

Reuben Tishkoff stumbles into uncharted territory when he makes the mistake of planning to build a hotel with one of Las Vegas' most hated businessman, Willy Banks. Soon thereafter, he gets cut out of the deal and ends up in the hospital with a serious hearth condition. Danny Ocean tries to help his old friend out by giving the dastardly Banks a chance to restore Reuben's share of the hotel; however Banks dismisses him without a further thought. Six months later, with Banks' Vegas investment thriving as the richest hotel on the strip--and the ultimate playpen for reckless high rollers--Ocean and his motley crew decide to bring Banks down.

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN : At Worlds End (2007)

FANTASTIC FOUR : Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007)

The enigmatic, intergalactic herald, the Silver Surfer, comes to Earth to prepare it for destruction. As he races around the globe wreaking havoc, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must unravel the mystery of the Silver Surfer and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom, before all hope is lost.



HELLBOY 2 : Golden Army (2007,Tentative)

In a script by del Toro, Ron Perlman returns as Hellboy, the humanoid creature born in the flames of hell who was deposited on Earth's doorstep as an infant and battles otherworldly evil for a covert government agency. Selma Blair returns as the horned hero's pyrokinetic love interest.





SIN CITY 2 (2008)

Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez continue to adapt Miller's "Sin City" graphic novels, this time with the second book "A Dame to Kill For," an earlier story of Dwight McCarthy (Clive Owen's character), whose life is turned upside down when Ava, a woman from his past returns, saying she loves him and causing all sorts of problems for him.


SHREK The Third (2007)

When Shrek married Princess Fiona, becoming the next King and Queen of Far, Far Away wasn't part of the plan. So when his father-in-law, King Harold, falls ill, it is up to Shrek to find a suitable heir or he will be forced to give up his beloved swamp for the throne. Recruiting Donkey and Puss In Boots for a new quest, Shrek sets out to bring back the rightful heir to the throne, Fiona's rebellious cousin Artie. Back in Far, Far Away, Fiona's jilted Prince Charming storms the city with an army of fairy tale villains to seize the throne. But they have a surprise in store because Fiona, together with her mother, Queen Lillian, has drafted her fellow fairy tale heroines to defend their "happily ever afters." As Shrek, Donkey and Puss work on changing Artie from a royal pain in the you-know-what into a future king, Fiona and her band of princesses must stop Prince Charming to ensure there will be a kingdom left to rule.

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX (2007)

In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that much of the wizarding community is in denial about the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort, preferring to turn a blind eye to the news that Voldemort has returned. Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands.

28 WEEKS LATER (2007)

THE DARK KNIGHT (2008)

With Christopher Nolan back in the Warner Bros.’ director chair, this summer 2008 release is going to blow us all out of the water. Christian Bale will again take up the cape & Morgan Freeman Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Heath Ledger & possibly Maggie Gyllenhaal will join Bale to form an incredible, star-studded ensemble.



INDIANA JONES 4 (2008)

Twenty rumor-filled years after the third entry in the Indiana Jones saga, the fourth film finds series regulars Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas returning along with Sean Connery, who was introduced as Henry Jones, Sr. in 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Following the continuing adventures of an aging Indiana Jones in the 1950s, the film finds Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) assuming screenwriting duties this time around, delivering a script based on an original idea by Lucas. Additionally, Indy's love interests from the first two films, Karen Allen and Kate Capshaw, pop up in cameo roles.

DIE HARD 4.0 (2007)
(Live Free Or Die Hard)

An old-fashioned cop emerges to foil a hi-tech attack on the country's computer infrastructure as Bruce Willis brings back one of the biggest action franchises in screen history. It's been over a decade since audiences last went on a mission with New York cop John McClane (Willis), but now, as the world's greatest criminal mastermind (Timothy Olyphant) attempts to cripple the entire country with an innovative act of technological terrorism, only one cop can insure that the integrity of the system stays in tact. In this, the fourth installment of the long-running action series, Underworld director Len Wiseman picks up the torch formerly carried by directors John McTiernan and Renny Harlin to helm a script penned by Mark Bomback.
